How We Work: From Business Goals to Approved Action
This page explains the process Marketing2u follows on AI agent and digital marketing projects — what we do at each stage, where AI helps, where people decide, and what we need from you.
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The short version
We start with the business problem, connect only the data we need, let AI do the monitoring and first-pass analysis, and keep people in charge of anything that spends money, publishes content, changes a website or makes a promise to a customer.
The same process applies whether you want one AI agent, a team of agents, or a traditional service such as SEO or Google Ads. What changes is how much of each stage is automated.
Our 8-stage process
1. Understand the business
We ask what you sell, who buys it, how enquiries arrive today and where time is being lost. A tuition centre that answers the same fee questions on WhatsApp every evening needs something different from a renovation company whose Google Ads spend is rising without more calls.
AI’s role: none yet. This is a conversation. Your input: goals, current tools, who approves what.
2. Connect data
We connect only the systems the chosen work requires — for example Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 for SEO, or a website form and CRM for lead handling. We prefer read-only access and separate user accounts over shared passwords, so access can be removed at any time.
AI’s role: reads data from approved sources. Your input: granting access through each platform’s own user-permission settings.
3. Analyse marketing and operational performance
For SEO work, this typically means reviewing Search Console coverage and performance reports, crawling the site for technical issues (broken links, redirect chains, missing titles, accidental noindex tags), checking which pages actually receive impressions and clicks, and mapping existing content against the searches customers make. For paid media, it means reviewing search terms, conversion tracking and cost per enquiry.
AI’s role: first-pass analysis, pattern-spotting and summarising large data sets. Human role: checking that the findings make sense for your business.
4. Identify opportunities
Findings are turned into a list of specific opportunities, each tied to evidence. For example: “The fees page gets impressions for ‘primary maths tuition fees’ but sits on page two; its title does not mention fees and no other page links to it.”
5. Prioritise actions
Not everything is worth doing. We rank opportunities by likely impact, effort and risk. Fixing a broken enquiry form usually comes before writing new blog posts; fixing conversion tracking comes before increasing ad budget.
6. Human review where required
Anything that publishes content, changes a live website, spends money, changes pricing or commits the business to a customer is reviewed by a person before it happens. Approval rules are agreed in writing before launch. See how we use AI for the full list.
7. Execute approved improvements
Approved changes are made by the agent (where it has been given that permission) or by our team. Website changes are made with a backup or revision history available so they can be reversed.
8. Measure results
We measure against the goal set in stage 1 — enquiries, calls, bookings, cost per lead, time saved — not just traffic or impressions. SEO changes are usually judged over weeks or months because search engines need time to recrawl and re-evaluate pages; paid campaigns produce data sooner. We report what worked, what did not and what we will change.
How we test changes before rolling them out
On larger sites we prefer to test an improvement on a small group of similar pages first, compare them with pages that were left unchanged, and only roll the change out site-wide if the evidence supports it. We use this approach on our own websites — for example, a structured SEO trial on a set of condominium pages on condoswimming.sg before applying the template elsewhere. It is slower than changing everything at once, but it shows whether the change actually helped.
What we usually need from you
- Google Search Console access (a user added via Search Console settings)
- Google Analytics 4 access (Viewer or Analyst role is often enough)
- Website access — for WordPress, a separate user account with the lowest role that allows the agreed work
- Google Ads or Meta Business access where paid media is in scope
- Your approved business information: services, prices you are happy to publish, FAQs and policies
- A named person who approves changes
Please never send passwords by email or through our website forms. We will explain how to add us as a user on each platform.
What this process does not include
- Guaranteed rankings, traffic or revenue — search engines and ad platforms control those outcomes
- Fake reviews, fabricated testimonials or invented statistics
- Automated publishing or spending without an agreed approval rule
- Link schemes or other tactics that go against Google’s spam policies
How we work — FAQ
Can I review recommendations before anything changes?
Yes. Recommendations are shared for review first. Actions that publish, spend or change a live website only happen after the approval rules you agreed.
Do I need to give you my WordPress password?
No. We ask you to create a separate user account for us with the lowest role that allows the agreed work. You can remove it at any time.
How often are websites analysed?
It depends on the service. Monitoring agents can check data daily; strategic reviews are usually weekly or monthly. The schedule is set out in your proposal.
How do you measure success?
Against the business goal agreed at the start — for example enquiries, bookings, cost per lead or hours saved — supported by data from Search Console, Analytics and your ad or CRM platforms.
