How We Write, Check and Update Our Content

Our guides are meant to help Singapore business owners make decisions about marketing and AI. These are the standards every article and service page is expected to meet.

Who writes our content

Articles are published by Marketing2u and attributed to a named person who is responsible for them. Where a named reviewer has checked an article, that is shown too. We only list real people and real qualifications — no invented authors or credentials. See who runs Marketing2u.

How we use AI in writing

We use AI tools to help research topics, outline articles and produce first drafts. AI output is treated as a draft, not a source. Before publishing, a person checks the facts, removes filler, adds practical examples from real work where we have them, and confirms that the article answers the question it sets out to answer.

Sourcing

Factual and technical claims should be supported by primary or authoritative sources where practical — for example Google Search Central, Google Ads and Analytics help centres, platform documentation from Meta or WordPress, and official Singapore sources such as the PDPC, ACRA and IMDA. We link to sources because they help readers verify what we say, not to add links for SEO.

Fact and opinion

We separate what is established from what is our view. For example, we will not write “long-form content always ranks better”; content length alone does not determine rankings, and a page needs enough information to satisfy what the searcher wants. Where something is our recommendation from experience, we say so.

Claims we do not make

  • Guaranteed rankings, traffic, leads or sales
  • “Best”, “leading” or “#1” claims we cannot prove
  • Statistics, results or client names we cannot verify
  • Testimonials, reviews or case studies that did not happen
  • Example workflows presented as real results — examples are always labelled as examples

Dates, reviews and updates

Content that can go out of date — Google platform instructions, SEO guidance, AI model information, integration guides, WordPress instructions, pricing and feature lists — shows a “Last updated” date. We only change that date when the content has actually been reviewed or changed.

Corrections

If you find an error, email ivy.marketing2u@gmail.com with the page link and the issue. We check reported errors and correct confirmed mistakes. Material corrections are noted on the page.

Our pre-publishing checklist

Every article should pass these questions before it goes live. If it fails, it is improved first.

  1. Who is this article helping?
  2. What question does it answer?
  3. Does it add something beyond existing search results?
  4. Does it contain real, useful examples?
  5. Are factual claims accurate?
  6. Are important claims sourced?
  7. Is the author identifiable?
  8. Is the article current?
  9. Is it written naturally, for people rather than search engines?
  10. Has unnecessary filler been removed?
  11. Are there any unsupported claims?
  12. Would a reader trust this enough to act on it?

Author profile standard

Each author profile on this site includes: name, role, a short biography describing relevant real-world experience, areas of expertise, and links to the author’s other articles. Reviewer credits are only added when the reviewer genuinely reviewed the piece.

Editorial FAQ

Is your content written by AI?

AI tools assist with research and drafting. A person reviews, edits and approves every article before it is published, and is accountable for it.

Are your examples real?

Where we describe our own work — for example on websites we operate — it is real. Illustrative scenarios are labelled as examples and are not presented as client results.

How do I report a mistake?
